CHAPTER 9
THE LAW OF OBEDIENCE
''obedience is better than sacrifice.'' Most of the time in our daily lives Obedience is always confused with submission. The Biblical word for obedience comes from the Greek word ‘’Hupakou’’ which means to listen attentively, to conform to a command or authority. It’s the idea of actively following a command whether you like it or not. Obedience is involuntary. When you look at the word submission which is similar to obedience with a slight difference because it voluntary. It comes from the Greek word ‘’hupeiko’’ meaning to passively surrender to an authority or to be meek, nonresistant. In science, the law of obedience simply means that you can only achieve success if you obey universal laws created by God. It is a serious mistake to disobey the laws of the universe because they govern our lives. These laws work in life whether we understand them or not. If you live without any knowledge of them, they can work against you so knowing them is crucial. The word mistake here is not because someone will judge you but rather you will suffer from the consequences from disobedience will bring. Some examples of suffering caused by the disobedience of natural laws:
• If you suffer from bad health, it means that you disobey the law of non-resistance. This law states that whenever you are resisting some situation, you are giving power to it.
• If you are not satisfied with life, it means that you are not in line with law of focus. Whatever you focus on, you attract.
• If you always think of being a victim or that everything is out of your control, it shows that you are breaking the law of thinking.
• If you work hard but see no success, it’s important to look at the law of cause and effect. • If you want to have good health and positive mental state, you should know the law of forgiveness. This law teaches to forgive everyone who caused pain and suffering to escape the consequences of hidden resentment and hatred.
• There are many other laws such as the law of sacrifice which states that for you to get something new you will always have to give something away. This law applies to every aspect of life. You must be willing to give first to receive what you wish. For example in a relationship, you will have to sacrifice your freedom(compromise on everything), lose your status of being single to get Love and stop feeling lonely. To get wealth, you will need to give your time, effort, passion, creation, resources for you to receive wealth in return.
• The law of increase teaches whatever you are grateful for, you are sure to receive more of it. The more you are grateful, the more things you are grateful about come your way.
